Vernon Altman
Vernon Altman is a Director of Bain & Company and a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Altman joined Bain at its founding in 1973, and is Bain's Senior Partner, world-wide. Currently, he focuses his practice on the Internet Economy, Technology, Telecommunications, Consumer Products and Retailing. Mr. Altman leads Bain's Full Potential Transformation / E-Business Practice, which assists companies incorporate the productivity improvement and transformational opportunities of the Internet into their businesses.
Mr. Altman is a member of the Boards of Directors of KQED (San Francisco's public TV and radio broadcaster), The San Francisco Bay Area Council, The California Business Roundtable and The California Chamber of Commerce.
Early in his career, Mr. Altman held technical positions at General Electric and Honeywell. Mr. Altman received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Masters in Management from MIT's Sloan School.
Deborah Eastman
Deborah is a seasoned business professional with nearly 30 years of business experience. Throughout her career, she has broken new ground, evangelizing new technology and approaches to drive change while working closely with customers to ensure their success. Deborah is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for Satmetrix, where she is responsible for driving their global messaging and delivering on their brand promise. Prior to Satmetrix, Deborah was Managing Principal of Windward Solutions, a professional services firm providing consulting services to technology and services organizations. Previously, Deborah was Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer for Biz360, and Vice President and Managing Director at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG) where she held a number of global leadership positions including marketing, global accounts and strategic partnership development.
Vijay Govindarajan
Vijay Govindarajan is the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business, and Director, William F. Achtmeyer Center for Global Leadership, Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College. He is also the Faculty Director for the Global Leadership 2020 Program. His area of expertise is strategy, with particular emphasis on strategic innovation, industry transformation, and global strategy and organization.
Professor Govindarajan was ranked by Management International Review as one of the Top 20 North American Superstars for research in strategy and organization. One of his papers was recognized as "one of the ten most-often cited articles" in the entire 40-year history of the prestigious Academy of Management Journal. Professor Govindarajan has also received numerous other scholarly awards, including the Glueck Best Research Paper Award in Business Policy and Strategy from the Academy of Management.
Professor Govindarajan has served as a consultant to various global corporations. He has been a keynote speaker at Business Week CEO Forum, the Economist Conference, Confederation of Indian Industry Conference, and Human Resource Planning Society National Conference.
Professor Govindarajan received his doctorate and his MBA (with distinction) from the Harvard Business School.
Larry Kittleberger
Larry Kittleberger is Senior Vice President, Administration and Chief Information Officer of Honeywell International Inc. In this position he oversees the company's digitization efforts and its worldwide information technology organization. He also has executive responsibility for Honeywell's global shared services organization.
Prior to joining Honeywell in 2001, Larry was Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Lucent Technologies Inc. At Lucent he was responsible for global information systems, information systems architecture and supply chain strategy, with a strong focus on accelerating E-Business activities.
From 1994 to 1999 he served as Senior Vice President & CIO at AlliedSignal Inc., where he established the company's first global communications network, significantly stabilized infrastructure operations, expanded AlliedSignal's electronic commerce capabilities and directed its global Year 2000 initiative. Earlier, Larry had a 25-year career at Tenneco, where he held a variety of leadership positions in engineering and information systems. His most recent role was Chairman of the company's CIO Leadership Council.
Larry earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University and a MBA in finance and quantitative analysis from Old Dominion University.
Patricia B. Morrison
Patricia B. Morrison is executive vice president and chief information officer for Motorola. In this role, Morrison oversees all strategic, operational and financial aspects of the company's information technology architecture, systems, tools, processes and infrastructure. Patty joined Motorola in 2005 and has led an effort to build a global IT organization that delivers world-class IT value creation. In her first year, Motorola jumped from a #46 to a #12 ranking among the InformationWeek Top 500 IT innovators for 2006, and #1 in the manufacturing industry segment.
Morrison brings Motorola more than 20 years of systems and IT expertise in a wide variety of roles. Before joining Motorola in 2005, Morrison served as executive vice president and chief information officer of Office Depot, Inc., where she was responsible for managing Office Depot's global information systems, including its highly successful global e-commerce platform. Morrison led the transformation of Office Depot's IT architecture and helped the company to achieve more than $100 million in efficiency improvements.
Prior to Office Depot, Morrison served as CIO of The Quaker Oats Company in Chicago. As CIO, Morrison oversaw Quaker's systems integration with PepsiCo following Pepsi's acquisition of Quaker Oats in 2001. Prior to that, Morrison was CIO of GE Industrial Systems, a $6 billion division of General Electric. She began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she held a number of systems management and IT leadership positions.
Morrison attended Miami University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and statistics and a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. She serves on the boards of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., where she chairs the board's governance committee.
